Admission

The Department of Mass Communication and Journalism integrated with the Faculty of Social Sciences offers the academic programmes of four-year Bachelor of Social Sciences (BSS) and one-year Master of Social Sciences (MSS). It aims to equip the students with appropriate knowledge and skills to enable them to build their career in a variety of occupations.

For admission, candidates must take admission tests. Students who have passed the SSC and the HSC or examinations equivalent to HSC of Bangladesh Boards of Intermediate and Secondary Education with required GPA are considered eligible for admission to the degree of Honours courses. Admission is highly competitive and students must score pass marks to qualify for the admission test. Mass communication and journalism is offered from B-unit and D-unit. 16 in Bengali and 14 in English is the minimum requirement for admission to this discipline...
